When are training sessions?

When: Tuesdays 7 - 8.30 pm


Where: Berkshire County Sports Club



Additional training sessions are held on the Thursday before a fixture.


If a training session is cancelled, it will be announced through our social media channels with as much notice as reasonably possible.


What experience do I need?

No previous rugby experience is needed to get involved. 


All our training sessions are open to everyone with all experiences and backgrounds. If you have never thrown a rugby ball our coaches will help you develop basic rugby skills at your own pace. The safety and enjoyment of all particpating is our highest priority.

What kit do I need?

The kit required to take part in a training session is dependant on the weather. In the winter, during contact training sessions, warm sportswear is required. In the summer, during touch training sessions, lighter sportswear and additional water is advised.

Summer/Touch training sessions

  • Rugby Boots/Firm ground studs*


*Gum shields and rugby boots are required to ensure the safety of all particpents. For a try rugby session or trial period, trainers will be suitable if the ground is not to soft. Gum shields and boots should be brought as soon as possible. 

Changing Facilities

Players meet in the changing rooms 10 minutes before training begins, and head out together. 


The changing rooms are accessible to the public. Valuables should not be left inside.


Showers are available after training.


To help create a safe and supportive enviroment within changing rooms and showers, the club encourages underwear to be worn in the showers.


Individuals who do not wish to change or shower with the rest of the team, will be supported and reasonable adjustments made where possible.
