The Reading Renegades secured a hard-fought victory against the Swansea Vikings, completing a home and away double over the Welsh side this season.

The day started in freezing conditions, with the team leaving Reading in a bitter -1°C chill. However, by the time the match kicked off on the Welsh south coast, the temperature felt almost warm in comparison.

This was easily one of the most end-to-end matches of the season, with both teams battling fiercely from the first whistle. The Vikings came out strong, scoring early tries and putting the Renegades under pressure.

As the second half unfolded, the match became even tighter and tenser, with just two points separating the sides. The Renegades dug deep, with four different players crossing the try line, showcasing the team’s attacking depth. Both forwards and backs played their part, working together to shift the momentum back in our favor.

Unfortunately, the match was cut short due to a Vikings injury, bringing an early end to an intense contest. We wish the injured player a speedy recovery.
