Despite a hard-fought effort, the final score ended in a 24-52 defeat. The Serpents put in a strong display, showing grit and determination from start to finish.

It was a physical game, and the team left it all on the field, making sure the Serpents had to work hard for their victory.

We knew going into this match that the Serpents would be a tough side to face, and they didn’t disappoint. Their forwards, in particular, brought size and strength, but our pack rose to the challenge, holding their own in every contest. With a number of injuries throughout the game many players stepped up into unfamiliar positions to fill the gaps, the team adapted well under pressure.

One of the most encouraging aspects of the performance was the way the boys kept fighting until the very last seconds of the game. Despite being behind on the scoreboard, they never gave up. Their hard work and perseverance paid off with two well-earned late tries, proving that this team has the heart and determination to keep pushing, no matter the obstacles.

There’s still a long season ahead, and this game has shown that we have the potential to grow and improve with each match. We’re already looking forward to the rematch against the Serpents, which promises to be a thrilling contest.
