Member Spotlight: Aaron Glen - Taexali Spartens: Thebans Player of the Tournament

We're thrilled to announce that our very own Aaron Glen was named Player of the Tournament for the Taexali Spartans Red at this year’s 2024 Thebans Clinic!

This was Aaron’s third year attending the clinic, and his impact on the field was undeniable. Partnering with talented players from Aberdeen Taexali, Manchester Spartens, Emerald Warriors, and Washington Scandals, Aaron competed in the tournament’s top tier — two levels above his usual bracket! After a fun day of training on the Friday, he played in all four of Taexali Spartans Red's matches on the Saturday.

In a nail-biting final, Taexali Spartans Red triumphed over a formidable Glasgow Raptors A Team to claim the Jim Reilly Memorial Shield. This win is particularly historic: it's the first time in years that a non-Thebans team has brought home the Shield, and Aaron’s skill and grit were pivotal in securing that milestone.

We couldn't be prouder of Aaron for representing our club with such determination and passion. You may be made of granite, but you’re also a true Renegade. Keep up the incredible work, Aaron!
