We train every Tuesday & Thursday at Denefield School in West Reading from 19:30 to 21:00.
Many of us travel from all over Reading so if getting here is an issue please get in contact and you're likely able to get a lift.
Otherwise, you can get the #16 Bus from town to directly outside the school.
Thursdays lessons are followed up by some karaoke back at the Blagrave for all who want to get involved
Our Coaches are dedicated to training and planning to make every session different, fun and hard work but always packed full of laughter.
Tommy (left) - As the Fitness Coach my job is to find as many ways as I can to force people to do burpees!
I try to be creative with fitness, developing games like Ring of Fire or the Fitness Scavenger Hunt to get people puffing in a fun and engaging way. Having said this, I am partial to a good old-fashioned HIIT session too.
I also focus on body conditioning to help develop strength and avoid injury whilst playing.
Sam (center) - As the Head of Rugby for the Reading Renegades, it is my role to work closely with our fantastic team of coaches to provide high quality, targeted and most importantly fun training sessions week in and week out! I work hard to instill the core principles and values of the game, one of the most important for me being that Rugby truly is a game for all. Because of this, I work hard to support every player and coach alike to provide the best possible opportunities to develop both on and off the pitch. Alongside my 5 years of coaching experience I push myself to learn and develop as quickly as the game progresses and I take pride in it being said that no two training sessions will ever be the same, I relish in the challenges that we face as coaches
Fraser (right) - Holding an England Rugby Coaching Award (level 2), I work hard to ensure I coach the team through Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Sportsmanship and Discipline of the game. My sessions will always be skill focussed, building up from first principles, what and why we do things enabling individuals to discover solutions to problems with newfound knowledge and ability. My strategy is to ensure we keep revisiting the basics to ground good practices, core strength and stability with basic activities before developing into more advanced manoeuvres and methods. Whilst my sessions are usually quite structured (#QueenOfCones), they can sometimes / often have a deadly injection of Cardio and sometimes even a bit of Muscle Burn but my sessions are always fun with plenty of laughs, technical content and growth to keep everyone interested.
